Airblue has hinted at expanding its international routes with a new destination in Saudi Arabia. In a teaser posted on its official Facebook page, the airline wrote:
“Something exciting is about to take off! Can you guess where we’re flying next?”
The post further added, “Doors are open to a new destination. Guess where?”
This announcement quickly gained traction among travelers on social media, sparking widespread curiosity about Airblue’s next move.
Clues Point Toward Dammam
Airblue dropped an additional clue, describing the new route as heading to “a city that shines on the eastern edge of Saudi Arabia.”
This strong hint suggests that Dammam, a major Saudi Arabian city along the Arabian Gulf, is the new destination.
Dammam serves as a key economic, industrial, and cultural hub, making it an ideal addition to Airblue’s expanding route network.
Boosting Pakistan–Saudi Arabia Air Connectivity
The expected Dammam route will strengthen air travel between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, serving a large population of Pakistani expatriates living and working in the Kingdom.
It will also cater to business travelers and religious pilgrims, offering more direct flight options and enhancing overall connectivity.
Part of Airblue’s Middle East Expansion Strategy
Airblue’s move aligns with its strategic expansion in the Middle East, where demand for travel continues to rise post-pandemic.
The new route underscores the airline’s commitment to improving regional accessibility and supporting the growing travel needs between Pakistan and the Gulf region.
